Synology DS1019+

So when i first set this up i did not expect it tobe still going 5 years on. It is the work horse of my network and media needs. I have install SSDs and more memory to keep it at its best.

Picture below is its home for now along with a good amount of UPS power and its brother DS214+ for backup. While i am on the Subject the UPS System helps to keeps all this safe, 2 servers, Router. but i have also ran a cable to the living room to protect the main TV and PS5. i almost forgot 3 Raspberry pi 5 systems.

There is 2 Switches i use for wired Network system through out the house covering POE cameras aswell. So if the power goes out im good for at least 6 house i think. We have had a few power cuts and a surge. so well worth the investment.

So thats the setup. what do i use it for you ask.

So first up is this website, then a plex Server and then there is docker. i dont always use docker but i like using it for small projects. I do find the system runs hotter when im doing a docker. Below is some tutorials
